Information

Privacy policy

Effective date: September 12, 2026

Page & Purpose Studio provides books, printable resources, and digital downloads. This policy explains the information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

When an adult requests or purchases a resource, we may collect an email address, optional first name, the resource requested, referral or QR source, consent choices, and basic technical information needed for security and attribution.

When an adult uses the support form, we collect the name, email address, inquiry category, and message they submit. For abuse prevention, the server creates privacy-protected digests from the connection address and submitted email; the rate-limit records do not store those values in plain text and are removed after seven days.

How we use information

  • Provide requested downloads and purchase access.
  • Maintain transaction and fulfillment records.
  • Respond to support, licensing, correction, and general inquiries.
  • Understand which books and resources are useful.
  • Send occasional marketing emails only when the adult has chosen to receive them.
  • Prevent abuse and protect the service.
  • Measure privacy-minimized book views, preview opens, and edition-link clicks when enabled.
  • Invite adult purchasers to submit an optional review after a reasonable use period when reviews are enabled.

Reviews and public display

If first-party reviews are enabled, an adult may submit a rating, title, comment, and safe display name. Published reviews may show that display name and whether the review is tied to a verified Page & Purpose purchase or disclosed free review copy. Customer email and order details are not public. Submissions may be moderated for spam, personal information, abuse, illegality, and relevance—not sentiment.

Children's privacy

This website is directed to parents, caregivers, educators, and other adults. We do not ask children to create accounts, submit email addresses, or provide personal information. Please do not submit a child's name, birth date, school, address, or other identifying information.

Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Vercel for website hosting; and Resend for email delivery and consented contact management. We use Zeroora for privacy-minimized, aggregate website measurement. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the service.

Zeroora privacy-minimized website measurement

For approved public pages only, our locally bundled clients measure page visits (the page_view event) and a fixed list of useful actions, such as viewing a book or guide, opening a preview, selecting an edition, following a checkout or Amazon link, starting or successfully submitting a free-resource form, downloading that resource, or successfully submitting the contact form. During the v3 transition, the existing aggregate page-view measurement continues alongside v3.

A v3 event contains a random event ID, a random first-party visitor ID, a random session ID, the approved event name, an approved route template, the referring hostname, and a referrer category. Book, freebie, and guide events may include that public content type and public slug. If present, only the bounded utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign values are included. No client timestamp or free-form metadata is sent.

The visitor ID is stored in this browser's local storage. The session ID and last-activity time are stored in session storage, and the session rotates after 30 minutes of inactivity. These are opaque UUIDs created with the browser's cryptographic random-number generator—not hashes of an IP address, email, device value, or user agent. The client does not send an IP address, user agent, full URL, query string beyond the three UTM fields above, fragment, email or form value, viewport, language, cookie, or arbitrary metadata.

Zeroora assigns server time when it receives an accepted event. Detailed v3 event, session, and anonymous visitor records are retained for up to 90 days and then removed by the scheduled retention process.

Measurement is suppressed when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is enabled and for automation, flagged bots, flagged staff sessions, local development, Vercel preview hosts, preview URLs, admin and authentication pages, downloads, APIs, redirects, and unknown routes.

Website measurement choice

Privacy-minimized website measurement is currently allowed in this browser.

Opting out deletes the v3 visitor and session IDs from this browser and saves a durable disabled preference in local storage. You can change the preference here later.

Like any internet request, the connection to Zeroora necessarily carries transport metadata such as an IP address and user agent through hosting and network infrastructure. The Zeroora collector does not read those request values or write them to its analytics tables. Hosting and security providers may process short-lived request logs under their own operational policies.

Marketing choices

The dedicated "Join reader list" form requests occasional resources, new books, and offers from Page & Purpose / Markus Bailey. It is for adults using their own email address. We record the wording and version accepted, time, source page, campaign, QR attribution, and a protected connection digest. Download and support forms do not join this list. Free companions also have a direct-download option.

The reader-list confirmation email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is recorded with our email provider and in our database. Repeat downloads and signup requests do not override an existing opt-out. Contact us to discuss a change to that preference.

Marketing permission is separate from receiving a requested resource. You may unsubscribe from promotional email at any time. Operational messages needed to deliver a requested or purchased item are not promotional messages.

Retention and security

We retain records only as reasonably needed for fulfillment, consent, security, legal obligations, review moderation and correction requests, and legitimate business operations. Sensitive keys and download files are kept server-side or in private storage. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or a change to marketing preferences through the contact form. Some transaction or compliance records may need to be retained.

Changes

We may update this policy as the website and legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
