A meal, a ride, a returned message, or one task carried all the way through can be ordinary obedience to a God who defends the vulnerable. You may have no safe person available right now. You may have several names in your phone and no energy left to explain your day to any of them. Neither reality makes your need shameful. Tell God the plain fact without softening it. Then, if one reliable person exists, hand that person a whole task rather than a request for input. Let it be small enough to send and finished enough that you never have to manage it. 10
